Christian Smith is one of the world’s leading exponents of techno, both as a DJ and producer he is always bold and innovative. With his output in recent years it is hard to imagine a list of prolific producers without his name towards the top. He has been at the top of his game for over a decade with his trademark GROOVY TECHNO. In 1997 he started his label Tronic, since then it has dominated the charts with releases from Christian himself and the likes of Chus & Ceballos, ANNA, Paco Osuna, Loco & Jam, Kaiserdisco, Enrico Sangiuliano, Nick Curly and more. Tronic also has a weekly show which is now syndicated to over 100 stations worldwide, their 200th show was celebrated with special guest Adam Beyer. Christian has dominated the charts and DJ’s playlists with a steady flow of releases on many high profile labels like Plus8/Minus, Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Mobilee and Tronic.
 
Drunken Kong is the project of D. Singh from Tokyo Japan. In 2010, the he started the project when one day, he suddenly decided to make a track. Since then, he has released two albums on Christian Smith's label Tronic, The Signs Within (2017) and Where We Start (2020) as well as numerous EPs and singles on labels such as Octopus Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Terminal M while remaining
active with domestic label such as Session WOMB. All 7 tracks of their EPs in early 2017 on Tronic and Terminal M have entered Beatport Top 100 Techno chart at the same time, which has made an impact on the Asian and global techno scene!

DRUNKEN KONG is the moniker of D.Singh. Born by an Indian father and Japanese mother, he studied in an audio engineering school in Los Angeles where he was primarily focused on making up-tempo music and then he started his DJ career when he moved back to Japan in 2008. Since then he had been playing at various parties in Tokyo and other parts of Japan.

DRUNKEN KONG has been releasing music on major international labels such as Christian Smith`s Tronic, Monika Kruse`s Terminal M, and Transmit Recordings as well as other domestic labels such as Session WOMB. All 7 tracks of his EPs in early 2017 on Tronic and Terminal M have entered Beatport Top 100 Techno chart at the same time, which has made an impact on the Asian and global techno scene.

His music is gaining a lot of attention/support from international top artists and DJs such as Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Monika Kruse, Pan-Pot, Umek, Boris, 2000 and One, Uto Karem, Karotte, Filterheadz, Dosem, Stephan Hinz, Wehbba Wally Lopez, and Deadmau5 just to name a few.

In June of 2017, he has released his first album “The Signs Within” from Tronic. This album not only featured his originals but also collaboration tracks with Christian Smith and Victor Ruiz. This album made a strong impact and further global recognition of the duo.

DRUNKEN KONG has been constantly active in the Tokyo techno scene, playing regularly at major Tokyo clubs such as WOMB, Ageha, Unit, Vent and Sankeys TYO. He has also started his own resident party “INTENTION” at WOMB, inviting artists such as Christian Smith, Uto Karem, Nathan Barato, Arjun Vagale and Jewel Kid to Tokyo while also expanding his musical influence to other regions of Asia.

DRUNKEN KONG has also been successfully touring in Europe, playing in different cities of Portugal, Spain and France, and Germany, playing in major clubs such as Barraca and Sisyphos in Berlin. The two are constantly attracting new fans with his unique sound and groove. He has also played for Tronic vs. Terminal M showcase, during ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event) and Tronic Showcase during Sonar Off week.

While constantly loving and being inspired by the music, Drunken Kong continues to expand his possibilities while maintaining his quality work. With his powerful DJ styles and charisma, he has achieved to constantly amuse the audience and keep the dance floor going while expanding his ideas and skills to the next level.
